Northwood Rose Show Aqua Opal Bowl

Mike & I purchased this from the late GREAT Marie Capps out of her room in 2015 at the Southern California Carnival Glass Club (SCCGC) convention that year. Mike had always wanted one and who better to buy it from than Marie as she was so renown for her collection of ice blues & aqua opal pieces. We were particularly drawn to its butterscotch overlay because it just makes the Aqua Opal stand out so vividly.
Marie told us at the time she had owned this bowl for many years and she was glad it was going home with us. That meant so much to us at the time and now of course it means so much more to us as just a short time later we lost an iconic carnival glass champion when she passed away in 2016. For us this piece will always represent her love of and dedication for the carnival glass community.
