Northwood Grape & Cable Green Stippled Plate With Ribbed Back

I would like to share with everyone today my recently acquired Northwood "Grape & Cable" stippled green plate with ribbed back. This plate measures 9" across and has emerald highlights. As seen in the photos, it is stippled and has a band around the interior pattern.
This is the standard Grape & Cable pattern, which is slightly different from the Variant version where the leaves and tentacles extend more into the middle of the piece.
Another great auction find here in Mid-Missouri! It's usually very unlikely to come across nice carnival glass at random estate sales in this area. Most of the time when carnival glass is advertised in a local auction listing, it's Indiana Glass, Depression Era, or some contemporary carnival glass. Not this time!
This plate has excellent iridescence and no flaws. This is my first Grape & Cable stippled plate and after adding this to our collection, I now have the drive to acquire more in other base colors. Usually when asked what my favorite piece of carnival glass would be, I answer with "the latest piece I purchased". So this is my favorite piece...until the next one comes along!
