Northwood Good Luck Emerald Green PCE Bowl

This bowl is one of our pride & joy purchases! We were so thrilled to be able to buy it at Jackie Poucher's auction in 2014. Again, this is a buy where the provenance means so much to us. She told us afterward that although she had sold a lot of glass in the past she hung onto this bowl for 19 years until we bought it!
Mike and I really didn't have a strategy going into this auction. I remember how we were so new to it all and, quite frankly, everything we really liked we were afraid would prove to be way out of our reach.
We loved this bowl at the preview - loved the color and loved the pie crust edge and ribbed back on it, but we didn't expect to win it so we decided he should just bid on whatever he thought we had a chance of getting. Much to my surprise (and joy!) he waited and waited until this piece came up and then threw all but the kitchen sink at it! It took most of our glass budget but afterward we felt like we had won the lottery!
