Fenton Ten Mums Candy Ribbon Edge Blue Bowl
Description
This electric blue Ten Mums candy ribbon edge (CRE) bowl was purchased last October 2015 during the Air Capital Carnival Glass Club convention auction out of Wichita, Kansas and was previously owned by Jerry Kudlac. This was actually the second time I had purchased on-line from a Jim Seeck auction that he was having for Wichita.
Early in my collecting years, I really enjoyed this edge treatment as it evoked so many memories of a child and eating candy ribbon candies. These were always a staple at my grandparents house at that time of year. Unfortunately, most of those pieces I had were sold and this is now my 3rd piece in this edge treatment currently.
I feel sometimes the pattern can get lost; however when I saw this piece it said take me home and the pattern popped right out of the bowl. It is a stunning piece by Fenton and am very proud to have it in my collection.
