U.S. Glass Palm Beach Marigold Goofus Glass Tri-Corner Master Bowl Whimsey

I heard this bowl came from an online Wroda auction sale. It's a tri-cornered Palm Beach bowl that sold for over $200. You would think this is more than they usually bring but if you were to go back to the listing, this was described as an 8-inch tri-corner bowl. 8-inch you say? This had to be a typo…..or maybe that explained the high price.
Well, it really was that big. It is a master berry bowl which is very rare in its own right. It was Goofus painted with the grapes in red, the leaves in green and gold borders. It was then re-heated and whimsied into the tri-cornered shape and given a heavy dose of marigold overlay. It's nearly 9” wide.
After I bought the Carnival bowl I was also offered an example of the Goofus painted master berry bowl so I purchased them both for comparison's sake.
The comparison pictures show the big and small tri-cornered bowls and also show that the small one has the Goofus painting on the inside while the big one does not.
