Northwood Rose Show Ice Green Opal Bowl

Description

Here we have a Northwood Rose Show bowl we bought at an antique mall just recently. It was labeled as an Aqua Rose Show Bowl. I asked to see it out of its case and as I was checking it over, I got pretty excited when I realized it wasn't aqua at all. It was actually ice green opal! I kept looking it over and didn't find any damage so I handed it to Debbie and told her if she didn't find any damage I wanted the bowl.

Debbie carried it around the mall while we continued to look, just feeling it and checking it over. Good news! She didn't find any problems either! We are both still in shock because we almost never find anything really rare out in the shops and can't afford them at the Carnival glass auctions. This dealer must have gotten this glass at an estate sale where there were no real Carnival glass collectors around. We were happy to be able to buy it for a bargain price.

As you can see, it's pastel and has nice yellow, blue and pink highlights. Here is an ice green Tree Trunk vase and the ice green opal Rose Show bowl which shows the ice green is very close. When compared with an aqua opal bowl, side by side, it even looks greener. I hope these comparisons help some. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
