Northwood Luster Flute Amethyst Whimsey Punch Cup

Here is another piece I purchased on eBay from a few years back that I decided to sell but have also made a trade to reacquire it.

I've been trying to imagine just how this piece got in the shape it is in, as well as why someone would have taken it out of the Northwood factory rather than tossing it into the scrap pile....but I'm glad they didn't.

It's iridized on the interior and has some iridescence on the exterior in spots.

I do like weird stuff. Northwood's Luster Flute punch cup in amethyst in a slightly deformed state, to say the least, rates right up on top of my "weird-stuffometer" list.
