Northwood Linn's Mums with Ruffles & Rings Exterior Amethyst Bowl
Description
This 9" bowl is one of two known; both having been discovered in the Pacific N.W. The late Linn Lewis phoned us following his discovery of the bowl in the late 1980s. He decided to name the piece for himself, which at the time was the first example known.
The exterior pattern is Ruffles & Rings, one of the moulds Northwood purchased from Jefferson around 1908. Both examples are in amethyst. Purchase price was $2,000 in 2000.
