Northwood Grape & Cable Green Vase Whimsey From Hatpin Holder

This beautiful Grape & Cable green hatpin holder had been whimsied into a vase by removing and replacing its hatpin holder top at the time it was made.

There are not many of these types of vases reported. This may be the only one known in Green. Mavis vaguely remembers that her husband George acquired it from an ad in The Antique Trader posted by someone out east. Those were the days when internet was not available and everyone looked forward to the Antique Trader for auction postings, items wanted and items for sale. They also had some great shop advertisements, show announcements and some great articles to read.
