Imperial Three Row Purple Vase

With great anticipation, we attended the ACGA, "American Carnival Glass Association" auction on June 17th, 2017. The Engel collection was on the block. We went there with two pieces of carnival glass in mind. The first one was this purple, Three Row vase by Imperial, a very rare vase. These Three Row vases come in three different colors; marigold, smoke & purple.
When it came up, lot #94, I had butterflies because I had seen only one of the purple ones in a collection in the last twenty years and this vase was the one and the same. When Jim Wroda, the auctioneer, said sold, I was kind of in disbelief for I thought for sure that it would have cost a lot more. Thank You Engel Family!
