Imperial Octagon Purple Five Piece Table Set

It was Saturday, April 29th, 2017. We were at the HOACGA, "Heart of America Carnival Glass Association" auction. We really like coming to this convention, but especially this year. Our really good friend, Christina Katsikas, was selling some of her glass along with glass from the Late Les & Patti Harris collection. This was going to be a fun auction with a lot of spectacular glass to be had.
When it came to the Octagon purple salt & pepper shakers, this was something you do not see. We have a few pieces of purple Octagon, table items, and the salt & pepper shakers would fit in nicely. I bid until I won them.
Next were the purple Octagon table set items. The ones auctioned were the one's we did not have, so again, I bid until they were coming home with us. When we put together the best pieces for the table set, then added the salt & pepper shakers, omg, this was the very first complete table set that Sherry or myself have ever seen.
It took many years to complete but it was finally done, all due to Christina for putting her glass up on the auction block. This was an effort on both our parts, Christina's part and our part. Thanks Christina for making this happen.
