Imperial Hattie Purple Chop Plates

Description

I love Imperial purple, but in truth...I am not a big fan of geometric or super busy patterns. Having said that, I had the opportunity at the Tampa Bay convention earlier this year (2016) to purchase a beautiful Hattie chop plate in purple from Tom Burns. I tend NOT to buy glass prior to the auction or in rooms because I like to save my money for the auction itself BUT Tom was walking around the banquet room with this pretty plate. I stopped him and asked what he had...and well... I bought the plate!! Tom has a love of glass and, although he didn't twist my arm, he was rather persuasive.

Move forward to just a few short weeks ago and I am contacted by a lady who wanted to sell her...wait for it!!!! Hattie chop plate lol... The price was right and I thought perhaps the plate "might" be a small upgrade from the one I bought in Tampa. The plate arrived and is equally as lovely as the one I already owned. The iridescence is slightly different but as far as the wow factor, I think it's a match to the one I had.

So now I have two purple Hattie chop plates in the space of less than three months.. Sometimes you get lucky!
