Imperial Fashion Purple Water Pitcher & Tumbler
Description
This couple came to the Lincoln-Land convention and had this pitcher with them. They turned down two different offers from dealers there, one for $1,200 and then another for $1,400.
I went to them and said, "If you EVER sell the pitcher, I would give you $3,000 for it." They said, "It's worth that much?" I told them, "No, but it's worth that to me." Needless to say they were not stupid and accepted my offer.
They had purchased this pitcher at a farm auction where it was sitting on a bale of hay along with some other glass. They paid $50 for it.
