Fenton Lattice & Grape Blue Tankard

When Jim Seeck's auction brochure came in June for the ICGA convention that would be in July of 2014, I was totally enthralled by the cover photo. There in the middle of the picture of some spectacular glass was this blue Lattice & Grape tankard. One look and I knew that I just had to have it.
This was a piece that one needs to hold in person to get the full effect of its outstanding electric iridescence, which is blue, purple & 24 carat gold, so off to St. Louis we went.
When I finally did see it in person, OMG, it was even better than the photo. At that point I knew that there was going to be a battle to see who gets to take this wonderful treasure home. We won the battle but there was heavy losses to our pocket book. Now comes the challange to find a matching tumbler and I love a challange.
