Fenton Holly Red Bowl

Description

Bob and I are picky about the color red. Because of this, we don’t have very many red pieces in our collection and usually don’t buy it unless we see it in person.

The very first piece of red that we acquired was at a 2004 SSCGA (Sunshine State Carnival Glass Ass.) convention auction. It was an Orange Tree mug from the Eric & Teresa Stafford Collection.

We waited three years before we bought another red piece, our beautiful cherry red Fenton ruffled Holly bowl. We saw it in Lloyd Ward’s room at our 2007 Texas Carnival Glass Club convention and couldn’t walk out of there without it.

We have just three other red Fenton pieces; a Plume Panels vase, a ruffled Fenton Acorn bowl and a ruffled Fenton Peacock & Grape bowl. All are a beautiful cherry red except for the Peacock & Grape bowl.
