Fenton Diamond & Rib Green Funeral Vase

Still at the Heart of America Carnival Glass Association auction on April 29th, 2017, I am now looking at lot #118, the Diamond & Rib, green funeral vase. Christina Katsikas, who's glass it is that's being auctioned, told me that the green Diamond & Rib jardiniere that we purchased earlier in this sale, is a perfect match to this Diamond & Rib green funeral vase. Boy, was she ever right.

 The bidding went a little differently this time. I found out later that an oil man from Texas was also interested in this funeral vase. The bidding took off and was vicious but I was determined to keep the jardiniere and funeral vase together, no matter what, and yes, they still are.

Christina tells me this was purchased from the Donald & Dorene Ashbridge Collection which sold at auction during the July 20th, 2013 ICGA convention in St. Louis, Missouri. It stands 20 3/4" tall and weighs 4.85 pounds.
