Fenton Blackberry Spray Root Beer JIP CRE Hat Vase

I thought this little Jack-in-the-Pulpit "Blackberry Spray" piece with the candy ribbon edge in Root Beer was probably a weak marigold finish when I bought it on eBay, although I knew that the base was either Root Beer or maybe Amber. After looking at it upon arrival, Root Beer it is!

I wish the photos showed the iridescence better because the interior is as gold as it can be, almost like it was gold plated, but for the multi-color in the center of the interior. When I first took it out I thought it may glow, as it seemed to have a bit of yellow above the base, but it didn’t.

I only found one listing in any shape for a Blackberry Spray in Root Beer and it was not a JIP shape, but simply a ruffled Hat shape, so this may be the first reported JIP in Root Beer. Certainly not a high dollar piece, but I was happy to get it and find that it looked better than I expected and that it was Root Beer.
