Fenton Apple Tree Blue Water Pitcher

Description

This multi-colored Fenton Apple Tree pitcher is something I have wanted ever since I saw one on eBay a long time ago. The one on eBay was iridized quite nicely and looked as if it had actual red apples. I adored that photo until one day, I enlarged it a little bit and come to find out, the person who took the photograph was holding the pitcher in his left hand and he was wearing a long sleeved red shirt that was reflecting directly onto one of the apples! I was pretty upset about that but at the same time grateful I had not purchased it, mainly because of the high price the dealer had on it.

This beauty was purchased during Brimfield, April 2017 by my friend Gary Lickver a.k.a. The Road Warrior. He had it tucked away in a box under one of his display tables and showed it to me when I walked into his booth on a Friday morning at the J&J field where he always sets up under a long white tent shared by other dealers. I loved it right away so I took a few photos and told him I would be back at day's end to finish up other business with him as well. Well the day's end came, I was late for business at home and thoroughly exhausted from running the fields of Brimfield which caused me to forget to include it in out dealings that day. It wasn't until I got home and saw the photos that I realized that it did not make it home with me that afternoon. All I had were photos in my phone. But, never fear! Gary sent it to me nicely packed with yet another item, a large Steuben thorn vase, I meant to ask him about also. All's well that ended well.

This vase has so many different colors in it and the first thing I noticed was that the apples were really red this time! It's the one I always wanted and much more. The colors are beautiful on both sides, in turquoise, electric blue, green, purple, pink, red, and gold which are in stark contrast with the silvery & golden crimped ruffled top.

I am enclosing natural and isolated photos for you viewing...including the last five that were the ones I took in Gary's booth before I bought it. Once again I'd like to thank Gary for thinking of me to show and sell this outstanding example of Apple Tree by Fenton. I am now on the hunt for just one tumbler that will do it justice.
