Fenton Acorn Yellow Ruffled Bowl
Description
This beautiful bowl is a real asset to our Fenton Acorn collection. It was purchased through eBay from Woodsland founder Fred Stone. It is a true yellow piece, unlike Westmoreland's amber that appears to be yellow to the naked eye, but is actually amber.
Yellow Carnival Glass is similar to amberina and reverse amberina in that the yellow areas on them glow orange under black light. It is the cadmium in the glass batch that causes this. The yellow items could be considered as red that did not strike. We've included a photo showing the orange glow that the base shows under black light.
