Eda Sweden Edstrom Blue Plate

This electric blue plate came from Sweden via a dealer in the early 2000's. This pattern was produced around the late 1920's not long before Eda's production halted. It's small in comparison to most plates and the geometric pattern, which is wholly on the reverse, consists of fans with files in between them and the base is completely filed with a an intricate hobstar design.

The top side of the plate is covered in a rich gold iridescence. The depth of the pattern shows a magnificent array of different colours including amethyst, pinks, blues, turquoise and gold. There are not many items known in this pattern range. It measures 6.25" wide, .75" high, and has a base diameter of 2.5".
