Dugan Double Stem Rose Blue Bowl

Description

A few weeks ago (November 2017) I went out to the Brass Armadillo Antique Mall in Grain Valley, Missouri. Two fold purpose, one to check for carnival glass and second to get a walk in. I had pretty much gotten through without seeing anything of interest. The last two aisles left to finish my walk. The next to last aisle is where I found the Double Stem Rose bowl with a pedestal base.

The neat things about this Dugan Glass Company product :
1) It is blue, hard to find color for Dugan.
2) The iridescence is nice and even. It’s little on the stretchy side, with a crosshatching effect to it. The iridescent colors, just blend well together.
3) The pedestal shape flares out into an ice cream shape bowl, a little flatter and it would be a plate.  It shows the design and colors very well.

It stands at 2 7/8 inches tall. It is 9 1/8 inches across the top.

I think as far as shapes and edges are concerned, you see more ruffled and three in one edges, then ice cream or candy ribbon edge shapes.

All in all, it was a well spent afternoon. I got my exercise in and came home with my first Double Stem Rose bowl, and in blue, my favorite color. A doubly great day.
