Description
Our mentor was a southern gentleman and his wife, Ernest & Lydia Caudill of North Carolina. Whenever we worked a flea market or show, they would be there waiting. He would buy on the first day, go home, call dealers & collectors that he knew and be there waiting the second day. He taught us to buy good quality glass. We also bought many pieces from him that we still have.
We would also call Tom Burns a mentor to us. In the early days, we attended about all of his auctions. Tom was so knowledgeable and passed a lot of that along to everyone. We learned from auction to auction. We still have many pieces of carnival that we purchased from Tom. ~ Don & Becky Hamlet
